General Terms and Conditions
Last updated: November 2026. General Terms and Conditions of Eder & Steiner GmbH, Obersdorferstraße 5, 2201 Seyring, Austria (FN 665860g, Regional Court Korneuburg), for all services under the WOHNFEE brand. The German version is legally binding; this translation is provided for convenience.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all contracts for home staging, furniture leasing (rental of furniture and accessories) and redesign between Eder & Steiner GmbH ("WOHNFEE", "we") and its customers ("customer"). They apply to businesses and consumers; for consumers within the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG) they apply only insofar as mandatory consumer protection provisions do not stipulate otherwise. Deviating terms of the customer apply only if we agree to them in writing.
2. Offer and conclusion of contract
A request via our website or rental shop does not yet constitute a contract. Based on the request, we prepare an offer that is valid until the date stated therein. The contract is concluded when the customer accepts the offer – online via the personal offer link, in writing or by e-mail – or when we confirm an order in writing.
After a rental request we reserve the requested furniture for a few days, and after sending an offer until the end of its validity. If the offer is not accepted in time, the reservation ends without further obligations for either party.
3. Prices and payment
The prices stated in the respective offer apply. For businesses, prices are exclusive of statutory VAT; for consumers, inclusive of VAT. Transport, assembly, dismantling and other one-off services are shown separately.
Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date without deduction. Rent is invoiced monthly in advance, the first month's rent and one-off services at the start of the contract. In the event of late payment we are entitled to charge default interest at the statutory rate as well as reasonable reminder and collection costs. In the event of significant late payment we may terminate the contract early after setting a grace period and collect the furniture.
4. Furniture leasing (rental)
The rental period and monthly price are set out in the offer; longer rental periods are cheaper in line with our discount scale. The minimum rental value is € 100 per month. The rental period begins on the agreed delivery date and ends when the agreed term expires. An extension is possible by agreement; we will send an extension offer for this. In the event of early return there is no entitlement to a pro-rata refund of the rent.
The furniture remains our property. The customer may only use it at the agreed delivery location, may not sublet, sell, pledge or move it elsewhere, and must treat it with care. In the event of access by third parties (e.g. seizure) the customer must inform us immediately and point out our ownership.
A deposit may be agreed in the offer. It is refunded after collection and inspection of the furniture, less any outstanding claims or claims for damages.
5. Home staging
The scope, duration and price of the staging (concept, delivery, assembly, decoration, dismantling) are set out in the offer. After the agreed term the staging can be extended on a monthly basis. The customer ensures that the property is accessible, broom-clean, lit and – where necessary – supplied with electricity on the agreed dates, and informs us in good time of a sale, letting or handover of the property so that we can plan the collection.
We may use photos of the rooms we have designed for our references (website, social networks, presentations), without the address or details of persons. If the customer does not wish this, a short note to us is sufficient.
6. Redesign
Consulting, planning and implementation in redesign are carried out at the flat rate agreed in the offer or on a time-and-material basis. Concepts, plans and designs created by us serve exclusively the agreed project and may not be passed on or otherwise used without our consent.
7. Delivery, assembly and collection
Delivery, assembly and collection are carried out by our own team or by transport companies commissioned by us on the agreed dates. The customer ensures suitable vehicle access and access to the property and informs us in advance of special circumstances (e.g. no lift, no-stopping zones, narrow staircases). If a delivery or collection is not possible for reasons for which the customer is responsible, we may charge the costs of the wasted journey and waiting times.
8. Cancellation
If the customer cancels an order after conclusion of the contract, the following applies: free of charge up to 14 days before the agreed delivery or staging date; 50 % from 13 to 3 days before, and 100 % thereafter of the first month's rent or the staging fee. Services already rendered (e.g. concepts created) are charged in any case. The customer is free to prove that we have suffered no loss or a lesser loss. The statutory right of withdrawal of consumers remains unaffected.
9. Customer liability for furniture and accessories
From handover until collection, the customer bears the risk of damage, loss and theft of the furniture and accessories provided. Normal wear and tear from use in accordance with the contract is borne by us. Any further damage, soiling or loss must be reported to us immediately; we charge the costs of repair or cleaning or, in the event of loss or irreparable damage, the current value. We recommend including the furniture in the existing building or household insurance for the duration of the rental.
10. Warranty and liability of WOHNFEE
Obvious defects must be reported to us on delivery, at the latest within three days thereafter; we will then repair or replace at our discretion. For consumers, the statutory warranty provisions apply.
We are only liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. This does not apply to personal injury nor – towards consumers – insofar as the KSchG provides for further liability. Towards businesses, liability for lost profit and consequential damage is excluded.
11. Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers who conclude a distance contract with us (e.g. online via the offer link) have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Details and the model withdrawal form can be found in our withdrawal information.
12. Data protection
We only process personal data within the framework of the statutory provisions. Details can be found in our privacy policy.
13. Final provisions
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; for consumers only insofar as mandatory protective provisions of their country of residence are not restricted thereby. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with businesses is the competent court in Korneuburg. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies. Amendments and additions to the contract must be made in writing; e-mail is sufficient. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
